The spark that ignited my love for the landscape came at a very young age through my father. It was because of his passion and adoration of the landscape that my own grew and developed into what it is today. However, in 1999 he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (Seropositive Rheumatoid Arthritis) and since then has been losing his ability to interact with the landscape he longs to be within.

This project is about putting him back into the landscape he hasn’t been able to physically connect with for years, whilst through the distortions and photomanipulation emphasise the fantastical and impossible nature of this task. Marrying up the reason of my love for the landscape and showing the disconnect between that reason - my father - and the landscape itself.
